Rolling along...

I still have 2 articles left. One is finished, but I am waiting on information still for the other two. Oh the life of the writer. I sometimes wonder if I send too many e-mails. But I need to make my deadline and if people aren’t responding, then they will either be getting another e-mail or a phone call if I have their number.

This past weekend I attended Relay for Life and the Dodgeball Tournament and got some fun pictures for the magazine. I am very excited to see my photos published in a glossy magazine. It’s going to look so much more vibrant than the ones that get published in the Lanthorn.

I printed out my outline for my presentation on Wednesday and will be practicing it. I’m still a bit nervous, but I am sure I will be okay once I get up there. The one thing I need to remember is to speak in a loud voice. I tend to have a very soft and quiet voice. I think my presentation will hopefully be formatted interestingly because I used the 3 stages an intern goes through: Expectation, Disorientation and Transition and Resolution to help guide the presentation. It’s on Wednesday at 2pm in Kirkhof Room 2250C if anyone is interested in attending!

I also meet with another founder of the Children’s Assessment Center this Wednesday as well. The funny thing is the two people the Center told me would be the hardest to get a hold of were the first ones to respond to my e-mails. I think that is ironic.

It’s almost surreal to me that I have 2 weeks left of school and then finals week. I’ve gained so much in such a short time already from the DSG and the CAC.
