There just might be a light at the end of the tunnel...
School is still hard. I've still got a ton to do in my classes but I feel like most of it is manageable.
I finished the devotional at 5 am on Friday last week and sent it to the printer later that morning, around 11 am. There were a couple of things I needed to change before it was printed, and a couple of minor things that I missed, but it ended up looking really good. I requested that my name wouldn't be announced in either of the services at which the devotional was distributed, but some people were able to find out anyway. The people who have and who have talked to me have said that the devotional is really good, and I've gotten some good feedback from one of the campus ministers.
Chris, my internship supervisor, is on vacation in Florida with his family for the week so I won't be able to get his feedback on it until he comes back and takes a look. He had approved the first half of the devotional but it was printed without him getting much of a look at the rest of it. I think it will be fine though because I continued along the same lines as I had started the work.
Designing the document was kind of a pain in the butt because I didn't have much time to do it, so it wasn't as detailed as I would've liked. I think it will be ok thought.
Pam, the minister who spoke at the night service on Sunday told me that she thought the beginning of the devotional was great, and she was kind enough to respect my wishes and not tell anyone that I wrote it even when they asked. There were a few people though, who knew that I had written and designed it and they didn't know that I would rather have it distributed without it being attached to my name.
I've got to talk about my assignment for the rest of the semester with Chris when I get back, but if I have more to do, it will probably just be a really stripped down proposal for a theological exploration of vocation program. Hopefully it will work out well.
