new interviews, new articles about old interviews

This week I have more interviews to do for an article expansion about study areas and about off campus places to eat. This time it shouldn’t be as time consuming as it was last week, as there isn’t anything to do in the way of scheduling, the magazines photographer and I are just going to approach people at random to get their input. The only catch is that there needs to be a sampling from both main campuses. Besides that, there are also a few people I need to get in touch with to set up an interview time to get some background material to fit into the fiftieth anniversary theme the magazine is going for.

In addition to all that, I’ve been working on using all the interviews from the last two weeks for the blueprint for success article. I’m finding that the most time consuming part about the actual writing of it is listening to the interviews from the voice recording and trying to pick out quotes that would look good in large print.

Like I mentioned in my blackboard post, there’s a lot of stuff piled up that has led to some anxious feelings. I’m sure that as I get things completed and I get better at arranging meetings it won’t be so bad though.
