keeping busy
This week I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked due to some family things which preoccupied most of my time. I did schedule an editing meeting with Kiera on Tuesday where she work shopped my blue print article, and just like I thought it needed some trimming. I also had the rescheduled meeting from last week with my supervisor planned for that day, but I guess she wasn’t made aware of the appointment and I had to leave before she arrived.
In lieu of direct input on what to work on, I implemented Kiera’s suggestions on the blue print article and began a draft of a couple of articles based on the interviews from last week. The first article I began work on was about the food pantry in the women’s center. So far it’s mostly about how people can use it, although I’m thinking of including more background information about how it was founded. The second article I began preliminary work on is about off campus dining and study areas, although I’ve only gotten as far as transcribing the ten people we interviewed so far.
If nothing else, the scheduling conflict with my supervisor has given me some practice in how to remain busy and find things to do or improve upon in stuff I’ve already written.
