Down to writing

This week was busy, but I also found the work I accomplished to be more fulfilling than the stuff I’ve been doing for the last few weeks. I think a lot of that has to do with having to spend much less time scheduling interviews with people and worrying about staying coordinated, and spending much more time just getting down to writing.

That’s not to say I didn’t have to do any scheduling this week. I’ve had to coordinate with the photographer for the guide to finish interviewing people at random about study areas and where to eat off campus. We also visited the women’s center to get some background information on the food pantry there. In terms of who I’ve had to contact, the list was much shorter this week than last. I’ve only had to schedule interviews for a handful of people, and of those, most simply answered a few questions through email.

The bulk of my time was spent finishing up the blueprint article that I’ve been putting together for the last few weeks now. I’m glad that I finally finished a first draft of it, although I’m afraid I might have to cut some of it out to shorten up the length. Our meeting for this week was cancelled, so I’ll have to wait a few more days to hear some feedback on it.
